The autobiographical suitcase by Sophie Calle

Taking to heart the travelling fibre of the artist Sophie Calle, the suitcase contains, in addition to the reproduction of the “Faux Mariage”, a work acquired by the Frac in 1994, a set of editions of the artist and original educational material to apprehend his artistic journey, may come to complete the study of autobiography in college and high school. Several avenues of reflection are thus considered: the narrative and autofictional character of Sophie Calle’s approach, her playful and therapeutic dimension, her relations with literature and the plastic arts…

"La Mallette" : the Frac artworks make a run

“La Mallette” consists of two “flight case” suitcases. One contains a work and its conservation and handling equipment. The other offers educational tools, with thematic sheets, ideas for workshops, games, documentation…
Designed to be borrowed by high-school teachers, La Mallette presents thematic entries for teaching operations by teachers. Easy to transport, it is a mobile dissemination and mediation tool that promotes a desecrated and immediate relationship to contemporary art.

Frac Bourgogne

FRAC'LAB - an contemporary art lab

The Regional Contemporary Art Fund of Burgundy (Frac Bourgogne), as part of its missions of awareness of contemporary creation, implements an educational tool for young people from 5 to 18 years. This art suitcase is an invitation to discover contemporary art and offers different teaching modules and work tracks that the teacher or facilitator is invited to appropriate. With «Le FRAC-LAB», the FRAC Bourgogne takes a different approach where it is no longer the young people who come to the FRAC, but the contemporary art that comes to them.
